Poonhill, Muldihill and Mohare Danda 3nights/4days

Tour Details

Nepal is renowned for its stunning mountains, home to eight of the ten highest peaks in the world, including those over 8,000 meters. The Poon Hill Circuit offers trekkers an opportunity to immerse themselves in local culture, explore breathtaking natural scenery, terraced fields, waterfalls, and lush forests. Experience the warm hospitality of mountain communities while taking breaks at charming tea houses along the route. This well-developed trail leads you to Poon Hill, where you can enjoy a spectacular view of the majestic snow-capped mountains.

Each porter carries only one bag, weighing up to 20 kg. No refunds for early termination due to health issues or personal reasons.

Trekking Preparations

Clothing: Wool or fleece hat, thick gloves, hiking boots, 2 T-shirts, disposable spare underwear, windbreaker, down jacket, fleece pants, 2-3 quick-drying outfits, warm socks, lightweight slippers.
Equipment: Trekking poles, sleeping bag, insulated water bottle, skincare products, sunscreen, lip balm, personal hygiene items.

Benefits of this Trip

You’ll have the opportunity to experience three viewpoints: Muldihill, Poon Hill, and Mohare Danda. While Muldihill and Mohare Danda offer views that are often considered better than those from Poon Hill, the accommodations in Dobato and Mohare Danda are basic. Expect larger crowds on Day 1 and Day 3, while the other days will be quieter with stunning views.

Itinerary

Day 1 Kathmandu to Tadapani (2,660 m)

Walking Time: 6 hrs
Walking Distance: 29.9 km
Fly from Kathmandu to Pokhara in the early morning, then take a 2-hour drive to Gundruk. From there, trek to Tadapani, which takes about 3 hours and 40 minutes. Overnight in Tadapani.

Day 2Tadapani to Dobato (3,420 m)

Walking Time: 4 to 5 hrs
Walking Distance: 6.5 km
This day features an easy, short trek through beautiful forests, taking around 5 hours to reach Dobato.

Day 3Dobato to Ghorepani (2,870 m) – Sunrise at Muldihill

Walking Time: 5 hrs
Walking Distance: 6.5 km
Start your day early to trek to Muldihill (3,637 m) for stunning views, even better than those at Poon Hill. After breakfast in Dobato, hike for about 5 hours to Ghorepani. If you’re feeling strong and quick, you can continue on to Mohare Danda, which is an additional 3-hour trek from Poon Hill.

Day 4Ghorepani to Pokhara

Driving Time: 2 hours
Walking Time: 6 to 7 hrs
Rise early for a 45-minute ascent to Poon Hill (3,193 m) to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurnas and Dhaulagiri. After breakfast in Ghorepani, begin the descent to Birethanti through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests. The path features a steep stone staircase from Ulleri, leading to a gradual descent to Birethanti, where you’ll be picked up for a drive back to Pokhara and your hotel.
