Langtang 5 Nights/6 Days

Tour Details

The Langtang trekking route is relatively short in duration and low in difficulty but offers a rich experience, suitable for all hiking enthusiasts. It combines the beauty of the Annapurna Base Camp trek and the vastness of the Tibetan plateau, along with the pastoral charm of Nepal, captivating the hearts of every traveler who embarks on this journey.
Langtang National Park is located just 15 kilometers from the Chinese border at the Kyirong border crossing. As one of Nepal’s famous trekking routes, it offers an opportunity to experience the pristine local religious culture and enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. Along the way, you’ll encounter charming scenery and interesting villages, with a chance to traverse remote and rarely visited areas. Following the narrow Langtang River valley, you’ll pass through Tibetan and Tamang villages, with views of Ganesh Himal and Langtang Lirung, and even glimpses of peaks in China. The trekking lodges along the route are convenient and comfortable, yet not overly crowded, and the local people are warm and friendly, making it feel like a paradise away from the world.

The route gently ascends over the ridge, departing from the Kathmandu Valley, providing narrow yet pleasant views of the stunning Western Annapurna Range, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu Range, and Langtang Range. We pass through the lively town of Trishuli before climbing toward Dunche and Syabrubesi, entering Langtang National Park.

Day 2Syabrubesi - Lama Hotel (2480m)

Walking Hours: – 6 to 7 hrs
Walking Distance: – 11.7 km
Today’s trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel and Ghoretabela takes around 6 to 7 hours, crossing the Bhote Kosi River (Tibetan River) that flows from nearby Tibet. Gradually moving through subtropical forests along the trail from Syabru Besi, we hike through lush oak, pine, and rhododendron woods. Along the way, we might see wildlife like monkeys, deer, goats, and various birds. The final segment includes a gentle climb through the forest to reach Lama Hotel and Ghoretabela, where we can enjoy a relaxing evening with delicious mountain cuisine.

Day 3Lama Hotel (2480m) - Langtang Village (3870m) - Kyanjin (3870m)

Walking Hours: – 7 to 8 hrs

The trek from Lama Hotel to Kyanjin Gompa provides stunning mountain vistas. As the valley opens up, the trail moves through yak pastures and moraines, revealing expansive views of Langtang. Continuing, we cross various streams and moraines. The last part of the trek is mostly flat, leading to the Tibetan settlement of Kyanjin. At Kyanjin Gompa, explore beautiful Buddhist monasteries and a cheese factory. Upon arrival, take in the breathtaking mountain views and stunning sunsets.
